What is Healthy Med Easy?
Nutritionist and Coaching support making the traditional Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle both understandable and accessible, for those used to consuming the Western Pattern Diet* (linked to higher cardiovascular disease and obesity risk) in the aim to improve health.
The reason behind this is because the traditional Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle has been scientifically proven to prevent; heart disease, strokes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Type 2 diabetes, plus increase longevity and agility.

*The Western Pattern Diet typically includes; pre-packaged foods, refined grains, processed meat, red meat, high sugar drinks, sweets, eggs, potatoes, maize and conventionally raised animal products i.e. butter. Low intakes of fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, fish, pasture raised animals and wholegrains.

Healthy Med Easy is about helping you (and your family) access and enjoy the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle.

The Mediterranean diet is a delicious and nutritious unprocessed plant based diet, that includes; red wine, bread, seafood, chicken, fish, pasta, eggs, cheese and extra virgin olive oil to name but a few. The food is so good, I'm sure you will never look back.
I am an accredited integrative nutritionist and health coach, whose aim is to empower you to gain a healthy lifestyle, by eating delicious Mediterranean food, and thoroughly enjoying the life that you lead.
Your bodies are as unique as your personalities are, so each of us should strive to find a way of eating that works for us individually. I aim to provide you with the tool kit and support to do this.

About your Nutritionist...

Hello, my name is Amanda Harrison. I am an Integrative Health Coach and Nutritional Therapist, with a Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle Specialism. I am passionate about helping both men and women to get healthier by enjoying the Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle. I am really excited for you to come and enjoy a Mediterranean style adventure of good health, and loving life with me.
Born and raised in England, I have a keen passion for nutritional science, stemming from completing a science based degree (2:1 grade), and teaching Nutrition to college students for several years. From this, I completed a Nutrition based Postgraduate Diploma, plus a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Health and Nutrition Coaching (Distinction grade). Once my Coaching qualification was achieved, I gained accreditation with the UK Health Coaches Association (UKHCA), plus continued gaining health coaching experience, by working as a coach completing case studies. I then furthered my studies to become a level 6 nutritional therapist (Distinction Grade), and became accredited by the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP). So, I am now a fully qualified and accredited Integrative Health Coach and Nutritional Therapist.
I chose the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle, because it is rated as one the healthiest diets and lifestyles around. It has been found to add 6 years to your life expectancy, promotes healthy aging, plus lowers your risk of heart disease. Two out of five blue zones are in fact Mediterranean, namely Sardinia (Italy) and Ikaria (Greece). This is where blue zones are the places in the World where people live the longest. Plant based and seasonal ingredients are enjoyed in these areas. Grains, beans, wheat, oily fish and extra virgin olive oil are especially important. They make recipes where the vegetables are the star, and they are absolutely delicious.

My own personal struggle with health was in the form of poor skin and joint health....after 25 years of suffering with my skin, and a year with my joints I found the answer to resolving my discomfort was by going to a nutritional health coach, and following the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. Things I found particularly helpful was being considered as an individual, eating oily fish and doing yoga. This gave me a personalised look at my lifestyle and diet, my dry skin and aching joints are now but a memory..... I now feel comfortable, free and am enjoying life! I really want you to feel the same.
So, now it is me, that is; qualified, accredited and experienced, and I have created a fantastic online one to one Healthy Med Package to help you. Having gone through a similar transformational health journey myself, I bring to you, both understanding and empathy. I offer educated, positive advice, and am here to support you throughout.
